  26. The new user interface includes a few enhancements which make 
  27. the look and feel of Windows 95 a little more interesting and,
  28. well, fun, I guess (!!!).
  29. These are some of the *actual* enhancements found in the new Windows 
  30. Memphis O/S.
  31.  
  32. Features
  33. --------
  34. 1) Smooth new 'roll out' of menu's.
  35.  
  36. 2) Highlighting words as mouse passes over them.
  37.  
  38. 3) 'minimise' 'maximise' 'close' drop down boxes as mouse passes over
  39.    the 3 boxes in top-right of each window
  40.  
  41. 4) More animation in Windows Explorer when opening a folder from left.
  42.  
  43. 5) Colour gradient in all windows along the drag/title bar.

  45. Installation:
  46. ----------------------IMPORTANT NOTICE-----------------------------

  48. PLEASE NOTE THAT ONCE INSTALLED, GAMES OR PROGRAMS WHICH WORK 
  49. WITH DIRECT X (DIRECT DRAW, DIRECT SOUND) DO NOT WORK.
  50.  
  51. IF YOU WANT TO USE DIRECTX, FIRST REPLACE YOUR OLD USER.EXE AND 
  52. USER32.DLL FILES, SEE HOW; BELOW.
  53.  
  54. N.B. Replacing and changing these files does NO harm to your system.
  55. Just make sure you do it right.

  58. The installation is very easy.
  59.  
  60. 1.    Put these extracted files into a folder on your C: drive called
  61.     'Memphis'.
  62.  
  63. 2.    Run Setup.exe - the program will exit Win95 and go to DOS.
  64.  
  65. 3.    Press Y to agree to terms & conditions etc.
  66.  
  67. 4.    After installation, program will re-boot back to Win95 + changes!
  68.  
  69. 5.    To uninstall, just run 'setup.exe' from the new folder in your
  70.     \windows\system folder called 'memphis'.
  71.  
  72. 6.    To re-install repeat the process above. Or just keep the original 
  73.     memphis directory on your C: drive.
  74.  
  75. 7.    Enjoy the enhancements!

  77. These are the real thing - they will be part of the new Windows operating 
  78. system.
